People Are Ragging On Ayesha Curry For Her Comment About “Male Attention,” But Others Are Coming To Her Defense

Steph Curry’s wife Ayesha Curry should apologize for saying she needs attention from men other than her husband ….

A comment Ayesha Curry made on Monday’s episode of Red Table Talk has made her the subject of endless memes and tweets — both in criticism and in support.

The fallout from her interview with the women of Red Table Talk came in response to an admission she made of feeling insecure about the disproportionate attention she receives from men against the attention her husband, NBA star Steph Curry, receives from women.

“Something that really bothers me, and honestly has given me a sense of a little bit of an insecurity, is the fact that — yeah, there are all these women, like, throwing themselves [at him], but me, like, the past 10 years, I don’t have any of that,” she said on the Facebook Watch show. “I have zero — this sounds weird — but, like, male attention, and so then I begin to internalize it, and I’m like, ‘Is something wrong with me?'”

Curry, a cookbook author, added that it’s not attention she necessarily wants, “but it’d be nice to know that, like, someone’s looking.”

The reaction on social media to the comment was immediate and ridiculing. People — many of them initially men — expressed that they found it to be absurd.

And, of course, soon the memes followed. So many memes.

The rapper “Flow Davinchi” is an up and coming artist from St. Louis Missouri. His original name was Young flow and he and his uncle came up with it when he was just 13 years old.

The rapper “Flow Davinchi” is an up and coming artist from St. Louis Missouri. His original name was Young flow and he and his uncle came up with it when he was just 13 years old. He started rapping at the age of 8 and always expressed himself through art. He wrote poetry and would always draw until he became good at it. At a young age his passion for music started when he seen his cousin blow up in the music scene. However, it changed the way he thought about music forever and he devoted himself to it. He wanted to get out of the hood the way his cousin had done. With an inspiration so strong he continued writing for years. Now, at the age of 25 he has seen and went through multiple struggles but always found a way to grind through them. With great passion and a love for God only his motivation to help his family will help him overcome his humble beginnings. At the beginning of April he came up with the funds to go out of town (Atlanta). There, is where he shot the flex video to put himself on a bigger platform. Knowing what he knows now he will  never stop his grind. Flow DaVinchi – Flex is on all streaming platforms and is available everywhere. Now, he continues to work and is building a name for himself.

Rest In Peace Nipsey Hussle. Your energy will never die Young King.

Rest In Peace Nipsey Hussle. Your energy will never die Young King.

The hip-hop community is in mourning today as news spreads of the sudden passing of LA-based rap star, Nipsey Hussle.

The 33-year-old Grammy-nominated rapper, born Ermias Davidson Asghedom, was killed in a shooting outside his clothing store in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon, multiple sources have confirmed. Two other men were shot, and a suspect is still on the loose at the time of this writing.

Los Angeles police Lt. Chris Martinez stated that Hussle was shot multiple times in the parking lot of his The Marathon Clothing store on West Slauson Avenue in South Los Angeles at roughly 3:30 p.m. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Nipsey had been building up his name in the LA scene for a minute before his Kris Kross-sampled 2010-hit, “Hussle in the House” took his buzz to a whole new level internationally. He drew comparisons to Snoop Dogg and was seen by many as the new face of West Coast gangsta rap. His most recent was release was the Roddy Ricch and Hit-Boy-assisted single, “Racks In The Middle.”

The mainstream got a better look at him in 2013 after garnering media coverage from releasing hard copies of his Crenshaw album for $100. While some were skeptical of the move, JAY-Z silenced the naysayers by sending Nipsey a cheque for $10,000 and grabbing 100 copies.

The Slauson Ave. rapper had some Canadian collaborations under his belt including “Killer” with Drake (2009), “California Water” with Big Lean (2015), and more recently “Double Up” with Belly (2018). Both singles have been streamed more than 10 million times on Spotify. “Double Up,” which also features Dom Kennedy, was nominated for Best Rap Album at this year’s Grammy Awards.

Both Drake and Belly have made brief statements online regarding Nipsey’s passing. Drake posted this message on Instagram:

“Fuck. My whole energy is just at a low right now hearing this. We just linked for the first time in years and said we were gonna do a new song this summer cause it had been too long. You were having the best run and I was so happy watching from distance fam nobody ever talks down on your name you were a real one to your people and to the rest of us. I’m only doing this here cause I want the world to know I saw you as a man of respect and a don. Rest easy my g.”

Belly commented on Twitter with a couple of tweets including: “Rest in paradise Nip.”

Since finding success in the music game, Nipsey has taken various steps to give back to the community and founded various programs to help give certain initiatives a leg up. He helped launch a co-working space and cultural hub, Vector 90, with includes a STEM center on the second level (in collaboration with Los Angeles real estate developer Dave Gross). It’s located in the heart of South Central LA, and features 4,700 square feet, hyper-modern industrial-style office space.

Nipsey’s passing has already had a noticeable impact on the music community, with fans and fellow artists alike taking to social media to mourn the loss. Whether you were a fan of his work or not, his impact on the West Coast scene is undeniable and he’ll remembered among the greats when people speak of his legacy.

Rest In Peace, Nipsey Hussle.

In 2010, Hussle, 33, whose birth name was Ermias Davidson Asghedom, according to IMDb.com, founded the record label All Money In, which he debuted with the release of “The Marathon,” the rapper’s fifth official mixtape. His 2013 “Crenshaw” release sold more than 1,000 cassettes each priced at $100, according to his Press Atlantic Records biography.
The next year, he performed across the country in his Crenshaw Tour.
Hussle teamed up with dozens of successful artists, including Kendrick Lamar, Drake, YG, Ty Dolla Sign, Meek Mill and Young Thug.

He made moves outside the music industry, too. Last year he launched the first Marathon Clothing smart store at 3420 W. Slauson Avenue in Los Angeles. He also owned The Marathon Agency, SC Commercial Ventures, Proud 2 Pay and All Money In No Money Out Records, according to Press Atlantic Records.
His Facebook page says Hussle was “a devout member of the Rolling Sixty Crips,” a national street gang that was founded in Los Angeles in the mid-1970s.
His page lists Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur as some of his influences.
Hussle was nominated for best rap album at this year’s Grammys, but lost to Cardi B.

Stopping gang violence

Mark Ridley-Thomas, a member of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors who represents the southern part of the city, released a statement Sunday night saying his district mourned the loss of Hussle.
“Ermias Asghedom, known to us as the hip-hop artist Nipsey Hussle, was a father, businessman, entertainer, and inspiration to many,” Ridley-Thomas said, urging his district to stay calm and reflect on the tragedy. “Our communities have lost too many young men and bright futures to the scourge of gun violence. For healing to occur, even from this terrible incident, justice must be sought through legal means, and community peace must be found.”
Hussle had been scheduled to meet with LA Police Commissioner Steve Soboroff and LAPD Chief Michael Moore on Monday to discuss ways to stop gang violence, Soboroff said on Twitter.
“We (@LAPDChiefMoore and I ) were meeting, at the request of @NipseyHussle with him and @rocnation tomorrow at 4pm to talk about ways he could help stop gang violence and help us help kids. I’m so very sad,” Soboroff tweeted.

Usher & Rich The Kid Involved In Studio Attack, Entourage Members Robbed & Pistol-Whipped

We just got Usher leaving the studio … the singer appeared fine but didn’t have anything to say about the shooting.

6:58 PM PT — Reps for Rich the Kid tell us the rapper is doing okay after the incident. Rich the Kid and his entourage came under attack Tuesday afternoon at a famous West Hollywood studio, where Usher was also recording … TMZ has learned.

Multiple shots were fired — possibly as many as 10 — during the incident at Westlake Recording Studio … according to eyewitnesses. We’re told the man who opened fire was running away from the studio when he started shooting behind him.

Video thumbnail

Law enforcement sources tell us Usher was in the studio, but not hurt.

We’re told Rich was outside when it all went down, and it appears he was the target of the robbery. Multiple entourage members were also attacked, and at least one bodyguard was badly pistol whipped.

L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies are swarming the studio and surrounding blocks right now, searching for suspects and collecting evidence. It’s unclear if anyone was hit when the shots were fired, but we’re told the suspect or suspects made off with a ton of cash and jewelry.

BTW … Rich the Kid posted this pic of himself 4 hours ago, flaunting stacks of cash while standing in front of a Lambo. Coincidentally, he captioned it, “For motivational purposes only.”

Unfortunately, this is nothing new for Rich. You’ll recall he was badly injured during an armed home invasion robbery last summer in downtown Los Angeles.

His GF, Tori Brixx, was also injured during the attack, and the suspects … once again, made off with cash and jewelry.
